Account & Data Deletion
How to delete your Persistence Athletics account and personal data.
You can request deletion of your Persistence Athletics account and the personal data we hold about you at any time. This page explains exactly how, what gets deleted, and what we are legally required to retain.
How to request deletion
Pick any of these three options. All three trigger the same deletion process.
Option 1: In the Persistence Athletics app
- Open the app on your phone (iOS App Store / Google Play)
- Go to Profile → Settings
- Tap Delete account
- Confirm. You will see an on-screen confirmation that your request was received.
Option 2: In the member portal (browser)
- Sign in at app.persistenceathletics.com/portal
- Go to Account settings
- Click Delete my account and confirm
Option 3: By email (works for everyone, including non-members)
- Send an email to info@persistenceathletics.com
- Subject line: Delete my account
- Body: include the email address (and/or phone number) associated with your account so we can locate the right record
We confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your account login and authentication credentials
- Your profile (name, email, phone, address, emergency contact)
- Your marketing-CRM record in GoHighLevel
- SMS opt-in records (after the required 4-year retention window passes)
- App usage data and AI Coach chat history
- Class bookings and attendance history (after the 12-month dispute-resolution grace period)
- Photos and any uploaded media tied to your account
What we are required to retain (and why)
Some records are kept past account deletion to comply with US law. These are stored separately, not used for marketing or analytics, and cannot be deleted on request until the legal retention window expires.
- Stripe payment records, invoices, receipts: 7 years (US IRS tax law)
- Signed liability waivers and health intake forms: 7 years from your last visit (Washington State liability and insurance standards)
- Records under an active legal hold or dispute: until the hold is released or the dispute is resolved
Card numbers themselves are never stored by us — Stripe (a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor) holds those. Our payment records contain only transaction IDs, amounts, and dates.
Will deletion cancel my membership?
Yes. Requesting account deletion will also cancel any active membership or subscription. Pending Stripe charges that have already been initiated will still process; future recurring charges will be stopped. If you only want to cancel your membership without deleting your data, sign in to the member portal and use the cancel-membership option instead.
Will I lose access to past class purchases?
Yes. Once your account is deleted you can no longer book classes, see past attendance, or receive member discounts. If you re-join later, you will create a new account; we cannot restore deleted records.
Children's data
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child's data was collected, contact us at info@persistenceathletics.com and we will delete it immediately.
